Just a few weeks ago the 2021 NASCAR season kicked off, what a perfect time for a blog entry about NASCAR. I’ve only been to a few tracks, New Hampshire, Las Vegas, and now Charlotte Motor Speedway. Now I live in the epicenter of NASCAR. I’m right up the road from Charlotte Motor Speedway, the Hall of Fame, and surrounded by the race shops. I’ve been watching NASCAR on TV since I was a little boy. I remember going to Seekonk Speedway seeing the local racers with my Dad. Ever since I was young I’ve had this fascination with communications from two-way radios to broadcasting. I hope to share some of my personal stories that involve scanners, two-way radios, and broadcasting in The Scanner Guys blog.
Growing up in the ’80s and 90’s I didn’t have all the cool things kids have nowadays.
